  • What is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a QuickBooks Solution Provider?
    The ProAdvisor certification is a credential offered by Intuit QuickBooks to individuals who possess sufficient knowledge of individual QuickBooks software solutions. An Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor is one who possesses advanced knowledge of an individual QuickBooks software solution. ProAdvisors must pass an annual examination in order to retain their ProAdvisor status. Our CEO, Susan Cook, has been a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2008 in many QuickBooks solutions: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Advanced, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Enterprise, and QuickBooks Point of Sale. A QuickBooks Solution Provider is an individual recognized by Intuit who is able to sell QuickBooks software to individuals and businesses. It allows us to offer competitive rates on software subscriptions and payment processing fees, as long as a customer purchases QuickBooks through us first.

    We are Advanced Certified ProAdvisors with over 30 years of expertise in QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Pro Plus, QuickBooks Premier Plus (all editions), QuickBooks Point of Sale, and QuickBooks Online (all editions, including QuickBooks Online Advanced), and Microsoft Excel. We are proficient in Intuit Field Service Management (by Corrigo), Method Integration, QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets), QuickBooks Payments, Lightspeed Retail, Transaction Pro Importer, Webgility ECC, and EBiz Charge. We also work with Handifox, MISys, Fishbowl, BQE Core, Acctivate, Acumatica, Fathom, E Mobile POS, and other software designed to stretch the functionality of QuickBooks. We are always learning about new accounting solutions coming to market.   • Do you do taxes?
    No, Account Ability Consulting does not prepare income taxes, nor do we offer bookkeeping and accounting services. Our focus is on providing you with accounting technology solutions and ensuring your success in implementing them for your business. Tax law is complicated and ever-changing, so we recommend that you work with a CPA.
  • Do you do payroll?
    Account Ability Consulting can help you set up your company payroll, train you or your internal staff on how to run your company payroll and file payroll taxes, and help you set up affordable options for full-service payroll from Intuit, Gusto, or others. However, we do not provide outsourced payroll management services. Have hourly employees? We can help you implement time tracking, scheduling, and job costing solutions as well to improve your payroll processing methods and save time doing it.
  • Can you help us migrate our accounting system from a different platform to QuickBooks?
    Yes! This is one of our most common services. We can perform many migrations from products such as Sage, Great Plains, your custom accounting database, and many others. We’ll oversee the entire migration process, including training you and your staff, to ensure complete success in the transition.
  • I just purchased QuickBooks but am not sure what to do next. Can you help?
    Yes! We can help you get up and running in QuickBooks after you've purchased your software, however, we encourage you to contact us first before you buy! As QuickBooks Solution Providers, we can often offer better rates on processing fees and subscription fees than you can get through Intuit, but only if you purchase from us first. QuickBooks is suitable for many different types of businesses and offers so many amazing features to improve your accounting workflows. We'll tailor our training and customization to the features your business needs. We can also install the program in network environments, recommend add-on applications to enhance the functionality of your QuickBooks Software, and help you establish procedures for your regular accounting workflows.
  • I'd like to begin accepting payment via credit card. Can you help me with that?
    Yes, in addition to working closely with QuickBooks Payments, which allows customers to pay directly via your QuickBooks invoice, we also work with alternate merchant service providers such as WorldPay, Nuvei, Banctek, and Century Business Solutions.   • I'm not sure what QuickBooks reports I should be running, let alone how to interpret them. Can you help?
    Yes, QuickBooks offers many predefined reports that can be very helpful if you know what they mean. In addition, we can create customized reports for your specific needs and explore the use of QuickBooks features like Tags that can allow you to track any number of transaction types based on your business's specific needs.
  • Something is wrong with my QuickBooks data, but I can't figure out what happened. Can you help?
    Absolutely. The good news is that with our many years of experience, we've seen just about everything. We can help diagnose and correct the issue. We understand that this data is the lifeblood of your business and we take very special care during maintenance and recovery. We have worked with many companies that have large data files that become corrupted and need special attention to correct, and can do the same for you, too.
  • How do you meet with clients? Is virtual an option?
    Since our clients are located throughout North America, we provide remote support via scheduled screen share sessions. These have proven to be very efficient for our clientele. Most of our work is done remotely, while connected with you. If you would like onsite support, we are based in Mashapee, MA. We may be able to provide onsite support throughout Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket, as well as other parts of Southeastern Massachusetts. We will travel north to the Boston, Massachusetts area and south to the Providence, Rhode Island area. Travel that takes over 30 minutes in one direction from our Mashpee, Massachusetts office will be charged at half the hourly rate plus expenses.
  • How much do you charge for software and services?
    We sell Intuit software applications at the best available price. As consultants, our value is in advising you on the best accounting technology solution for your business's unique needs, and implementing it successfully. Your initial phone consultation is free.
